This is an automatic process.  If you did not receive an email with your username and password, please check your junk folder or spam filter.  

The Eyconix system is designed for two online connections.  Your connection and the inmate connection.  The system is NOT designed for conference calling.  If you are logged into your account, then that access counts as one connection.  If two people are logged into the same account at the same time, the jail computer will not connect.

The first two cameras connect on the system regardless of where they are located.  

Each user is to have their own specific user account.  Violations of that rule is grounds for suspension of service.

If everyone is in the same room using one computer, then multiple people can be on the visit.  They must be in the same location for that to apply.  If more than one person is in the same room during the visit, there still must be NO restraining order between any party and the inmates.

The Eyconix software application requires Adobe Flash Player.  iPads and iPods do not support Adobe Flash Player, therefore you are not able to use these items for your visit.  

If you are using a table that is Windows based, the visit will connect if you are NOT using a mobile platform.  If you have concerns, you may schedule a test visit with a member of the Eyconix team in advance.  This is by appointment only.

Thank you for your order.  Once payment has been received, you will receive a copy of your invoice.  On the day of your scheduled visit, log back into the site with your user name and password.  You will see a box that is called "Next Visit" and the information on your visit will be underneath it.  Approximately 5 minutes before your visit is to start, you can enter the visit.  Just wait patiently for your inmate to arrive.  They will enter the visit by clicking a START button on the screen inside the jail.

This image is from Adobe and requires you to allow the video to begin.  This will turn your webcam on and allow the inmate to see you.  The reason this box appears is so that your computer doesn't turn on your video without your knowledge.  This is for your protection.  Please make sure to click allow in order for the video system to work.

Our refund policy is very strict.  If you and your inmate connect via video, then the visit is considered valid.  In the event, that the detention facility terminates the visit due to a breech of the terms of use, the visit will NOT be refunded.  If the detention facility terminates the visit due to security issues outside the control of the parties on the video conference, Eyconix, LLC will be notified of this termination.  Eyconix, LLC will offer to reschedule the visit at another time without any additional costs.  In the event that the visitor who scheduled the visit with an inmate forgets or misses the appointment, the visit will NOT be refunded.  Eyconix, LLC is happy to provide reminder texts and emails in advance of the scheduled visitation.   

There are a few reasons why you might become disconnected.

1. Violation of the rules or terms of use - if this is the reason, the visit is non refundable. 

2. Jail security issues - if the jail terminates the visit for security reasons, the visit may be rescheduled at no additional cost.

3. Internet problems - if this is due to the connection with the family or friend, then the visit will not be refunded.  It is important to ensure that your internet connection is consistent prior to participating on a call.

You and the inmate will be doing a video chat on your computer over the internet.  It is very simple to use.  Just make sure that you are at a computer with a webcam and a microphone at your scheduled appointment time.

Video visitation is a new form of communication used between inmates and their visitors.  Visitors do not have to leave their home or offices to participate in a visit with an inmate.

This visit occurs on your computer over the internet.  All visits must be scheduled in advanced to ensure that the inmate is available.

All information is kept confidential.  Eyconix, LLC does not sell any information to outside parties.  Periodically, law enforcement at the facility may require us to provide information as it relates to who is visiting an inmate.  Since inmates are in a detention facility, the general rules of the facility still apply.  There is no expectation of privacy in a detention facility.

You will receive a confirmation by email or through SMS text depending on which option you chose.

You can automatically receive your user information if you have access to your email account.  You can also reset your password.  If you still need help, please send an email to info@eyconix.com.  It may take someone 24 hours to respond. 

Please make sure that you have turned your camera on.  If you are using a camera that plugs into a USB port, you may need to keep your camera plugged in and restart your computer.

Yes, this is video and anyone standing around the computer can see and hear what is going on. You may want to use headphones to limit who hears your conversations.

If you have an older computer, you may simply need to buy a webcam and upgrade your internet browser.

In order to see if you can use the application, click on System Check.  If you are able to see your video, then you should be able to have a visit.

If for some reason you aren't sure, you may want to have your visit at the public library or at a friend's house.

If you don't have a computer at home, try the public library. If you need to access a public computer, make sure to take a headset so that your video conference is not heard by the other patrons.

Other issues that impact the camera include:

• Using the wrong internet browser.  Eyconix recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
• Too many people are trying to connect to the video. The visit is designed for only 2 camera connections
• The visitor is NOT on the same time zone as the jail.  This will cause the video to NOT connect.  The visitor needs to access their account information and change the time zone on their account to match the time zone of the jail.
• The camera is on in another web browser.  Do NOT turn the webcam on in advance of the visit.  The Eyconix software will turn the camera on automatically.  You will only need to click allow.
• The visitor is NOT on a high speed internet connection.  If the bandwidth isn't strong enough, then the video cannot connect.
